Easy Halloween Costumes for Glasses Wearers!!
Posted by Peepers on 10/19/2011 to Just for Fun
Halloween is just a few weeks off!  Hopefully by now everyone has their costumes selected and completed to perfection!  If, by chance, you're like me and wait until the last minute, here are some super easy costumes ideas that don't force you to choose between your eyewear and an authentic costume!

Steve Urkel
The whiny voiced, annoying neighbor boy from Family Matters-Grab some pleated pants, a striped button down, some suspenders and geeky specs! Viola!

Brad Majors
A stranded motorist in the always fun and wacky musical, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.  Grab your khaki Members Only jacket (or something similar) and throw on some Clark Kent inspired frames and you're good to go!

Sexy Librarian/Teacher, etc...
Squeeze into your tightest pencil skirt, throw your hair in a bun and grab your highest heels-any kind of eyeglasses will do.

Velma Dinkley
The mystery solving, brainiac from the Saturday morning favorite, Scooby Doo!  Grab yourself a pleated mini, a bobbed wig and some thick, black frames.  Don't forget the knee-highs and Mary-Janes!

Harry Potter
I think I might have mentioned before that I love him....?
A black cloak, red and gold striped tie, wand and round frames will complete the look!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Posted by Laura Sadenwater on 10/3/2011 to Charities Peepers Supports
October is upon us, which means (here in Northern Indiana, at least) cool, crisp days, FOOTBALL, pumpkin patches and apple orchards, crunchy leaves and beautiful colors.  It not only marks the beginning of fall, but...
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
According to "About 1 in 8 women in the United States (12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime."  In addition, they state that "For women in the U.S., breast cancer death rates are higher than those for any other cancer, besides lung cancer".
Breast cancer is a terrible disease that affects our mothers, daughters, wives, sisters and friends.  Please join our efforts to help raise money to put an end to this devastating form of cancer.

Gorgeous dark purple and pink frames in the colors of our partner- Living Beyond Breast Cancer. 20% of proceeds will be donated to the LBBC in support of their mission.
