Are you addicted to books? If so, you’re likely addicted to browsing for books, and what better place to do so than an independent book store? Not that there’s anything wrong with the big box alternatives, but there’s something about the experience of browsing in a charming (or even quirky) book shop, the community vibe, and the knowledge of the staff (who likely knows your name) that cannot be replicated anywhere else.
And whether you’re addicted to books or not, you know that reading and reading glasses usually go together like peas and carrots. That’s why we’re thrilled to showcase one of our Peepers corporate customers, independent bookstore Sundog Books in Seaside, Florida. They’ve been in business since 1986 and have been a Peepers customer since 1997.
Linda and Bob White had a dream of opening a business at the beach. Transplants from Jackson, Mississippi, the Whites had several friends in Mississippi running successful bookstores, and they offered to help them get started. Today, Sundog Books offers a well-curated selection of books, including a good-sized Southern fiction selection, an excellent architecture section, and everything from bestsellers to local authors. And of course they have Peepers. The Whites say that a wonderful clientele makes the store a joy to come to every day.
“We are so thrilled that Peepers has been such a huge success at the store. We hear so many positive comments about how wonderful the styles and price-point is!” said Linda.
